MAKATI – Metro Pacific Water (“MPW”) received two Silver anvils during the 55th Public Relations Society of the Philippines (“PRSP”) Anvil Awards Gabi ng Parangal held last February 28, 2020 at the Fiesta Pavilion of the Manila Hotel.
The Anvil Awards are given annually by the PRSP – the country’s premier organization for communications and PR practitioners. The awarding ceremony aims to recognize the country’s best PR campaigns, programs and tools. It is one of the prestigious awards in the public relations and communications industry.
More than 500 entries vied for this year’s Anvil Awards. MPW won a Silver Anvil award for the 10th IWA Efficient Urban Water Management Conference in Manila, which was the first International Water Association (IWA) Efficient Urban Water Management event in the Philippines. The conference co-hosted by Metro Pacific Water and Maynilad brought together over 500 water and wastewater professionals from 27 countries to reflect on shared challenges and promote efficient solutions.

Metro Iloilo Bulk (MIB), the MPW subsidiary in Iloilo also bagged a Silver Anvil award for its pilot CSR Program, Empowering the Ilonggo Youth through the Rainwater Harvester Program of Metro Iloilo Bulk, which is part of their water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) sustainability initiative targeted to public schools in different municipalities in Iloilo. The program aims to raise awareness on water conservation and proper handwashing for students through the installation of upcycled blue drums, which serve as a rainwater catchment unit.
The Anvil Award is the latest recognition to the company’s branding and corporate communications programs that are cascaded to its portfolio companies. In 2019, Metro Pacific Water also received two Quill Awards in August and two Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards last May 2019 in Singapore for the company’s marketing and sponsorship engagements.
