Metro Pacific Water wins two Quill Awards

MAKATI – Metro Pacific Water received awards of merit in communication skills in special/experiential events and corporate social responsibility during the 17th IABC Philippine Quill Awards Night held on August 30, 2019 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom.

 

The Quill Awards are given annually by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines to recognize achievements in business communication practices. It is one of the prestigious awards in the communications and public relations industry.

 

More than 800 nominations vied for the Quill Awards this year. Metro Pacific Water won a Quill Award of Merit for the10th IWA Efficient Urban Water Management Conference in Manila, which was the first International Water Association (IWA) Efficient Urban Water Management event in the Philippines. The conference co-hosted by Metro Pacific Water and Maynilad brought together over 500 water and wastewater professionals from 27 countries to reflect on shared challenges and promote efficient solutions.

 

Metro Iloilo Bulk (MIB), the MPW subsidiary in Iloilo also bagged a Quill Award of Merit for its pilot CSR Program, Empowering the Iloilo Youth through the MIB Rainwater Harvester Program, which was part of their water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) sustainability initiative targeted to public schools in different municipalities in Iloilo.The program aims to raise awareness on water conservation and proper handwashing for students through the installation of upcycled blue drums, which serve as a water catchment unit.

 

The Quill Award is the latest recognition to the company’s branding and corporate communications programs that are cascaded to its portfolio companies. This year, Metro Pacific Water also received two Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards last May in Singapore for the company’s marketing and sponsorship engagements.
